Amazing Animal shaped Rock Formations

Turtle Rock Island


This picture was taken by my friend during our trip to Hundred Islands in Pangasinan, Philippines. We called it “Turtle Rock Island” not because it’s a breeding ground for turtles, but due to the striking similarity of the rock island to a turtle.

Dog Rock




This is a large granite stone and this amazing rock look likes a dog’s head from afar. This intriguing rock formation called the Dog Rock is located in Albany, Australia.

Frozen Animal




This bizarre rock formation looks like a frozen animal.

Camel Rock




This natural arch formation is located in a camel-shaped rock formation.

This unique rock formation named “Camel Rock” is located in Cappadocia, Turkey.

This natural crocodile rock formation is located in the Valley of the King in Egypt.

Hippo’s Yawn



The Hippo’s Yawn is an interesting rock formation near Wave Rock in Western Australia. The rock’s resemblance to a yawning hippopotamus has given it its name.

Elephant Trunk




This hill resembles an elephant trunk, hence, the name. The Elephant Trunk Hill is a landmark and tourist attraction in Guilin, Guangxi, China.

Elephant Butte




Another intriguing rock formation that has a resemblance to an animal is the Elephant Butte. At least to some observers who see the left side of its head, with a prominent ear, and its trunk curled by a foot. The strange butte or hill is located in New Mexico, USA.

Another peculiar rock formation that resembles an elephant is the “Elephant Butte” located in Queen Valley in Arizona, USA.

We are now about to complete an elephant with this Elephant Foot rock formation.
